We are the original owners of the 2004 Bavaria 44 'Helios' on which we have spent happy years, but feel now that we are getting too old to handle her.
'Helios' is in excellent condition and ready to sail and fully outfitted for extended cruising. She is a 44ft sloop, with quite new sails and a well-maintained 55 H.P. Volvo Penta engine.
'Helios' is currently in Rio Dulce, Guatemala. Delivery to Florida can be negotiated.
We bought this German boat new from Bavaria in 2004. It is one of the last of the Bavaria 44 series.
We sailed in the Mediterranean for a few years and then headed to the Caribbean. Now the boat is in Rio Dulce, Guatemala and for the past three years we have been sailing in the Gulf of Honduras.
Every year the boat is hauled out for the rainy season. We make sure that the boat is always kept in good condition thanks to continuing maintenance. Bottom paint has been done every year, there are no blisters.
The boat has never been chartered.
She is registered in Saint-Nazaire (France) under number SN E 14406
