The Catalina 380 is designed to incorporate sailing performance with a high standard of cruising comfort. Named ‘Boat of the year 1997’ by Cruising World Magazine. This popular mid size cruising boat has a modern interior and is light and airy.
'EmJay' handles well, is responsive and easy to sail. The double-spreader rig with an inboard shroud base allows for narrow sheeting angles and large genoas. The cockpit is extremely comfortable with good all round visibility with all control lines leading aft.
The deck is well thought out and a swim platform with ladder gives easy access into water.

Accommodations
Accommodations includes 6 berths in 2 cabins + saloon. There is full standing (6ft+) headroom and good ventilation throughout.
The forepeak has the traditional V-berth with wash basin to port and hanging lockers to starboard.
Moving aft the saloon has the drop-leaf table down the centre-line and full length comfortable settees with storage and bookshelves above and below to port and starboard.
The L-shaped galley lies to port with three burner gimballed stove and oven, a front and top opening Adler Barbour refrigerator, plenty of galley cabinets and double stainless steel sinks with pressurized water.
To starboard, there's the teak navigation station and swivel seat with electrical switchboard.
Further aft leads to the head accessed from both saloon and aft cabin with an enclosed shower cubical with one piece acrylic door.
The owners cabin aft is highlighted by the oversize double berth, with lots storage bins and lockers within arm’s reach. Two separate dressing areas, each with upholstered seat and hanging locker.
Mechanical Systems
Located centrally aft of the saloon is the Westerbeke 42B 42hp diesel engine. Only 3,432hrs. New engine mounts 2024. Hurth HBW150(A) drives a 3 blade bronze prop. Last serviced 2024.
