'Heavy Metal', a Steel Sailboat for Sale
by owners Koen & Yvonne
'Heavy Metal' is a steel cruising boat designed by Van de Stadt and built in 1992 for ocean sailing. She's currently moored in Curacao in the Caribbean and - with her watermaker, solar panels and wind turbine - she's pretty much self-sufficient and ready to go.
'Heavy Metal', resplendent in her new paint job...
Her hull was painted with Interlux in 2023, was last antifouled in 2024 and the anodes were replaced in 2023. A non-slip epoxy treatment was applied to the deck in 2023.
